Features & Performance
The Pro 500 PID is a heat exchanger espresso machine, equipped with a 2-liter stainless steel boiler and a 1400-watt heating element, allowing you to brew and steam simultaneously. At the heart of the machine is the well-known E61 group head, paired with a PID temperature controller—an uncommon but powerful addition to heat exchangers.
This combination of PID control and thermosyphon system dramatically enhances temperature stability. Unlike traditional heat exchangers, the Pro 500 PID minimizes or eliminates the need for cooling flushes. For example, setting the temperature to 256°F allows for sustained, stable steaming without compromising brew temps—something rare for machines in this class.
In the 2022 update, Profitec repositioned the PID display from behind the drip tray to the front panel, improving visibility and ease of use. This screen also functions as a shot timer, making it easier to dial in your espresso. Users can also access and adjust settings like eco mode and backflush reminders directly through the display.

Shipping Details:
Delivery typically takes between 4 to 7 days. We provide free shipping on orders over $200. For orders under $200, a flat shipping fee of $15 applies.
Currently, we ship only within the United States and do not offer international shipping.
Most of our shipments are handled by third-party freight carriers (large 18-wheeler trucks). If your order includes a freight item, we’ll reach out to coordinate a curbside delivery. Please double-check that your phone number is correct at checkout.

Once your order is placed, you'll receive a confirmation email to verify it's been received and your payment method is authorized.
Your card will only be charged once your item has shipped. For backordered items, a hold may be placed on your card to reserve your product.

Changed Your Mind?
You have 30 days to return unused items in original packaging. Return shipping is on you, and we’ll refund the item cost (excluding original shipping) after inspection.
Refund Processing:
Refunds are issued to your original payment method within 7 business days after we receive and verify your return. Banks may take additional time to post the refund—contact us if you haven’t received it within 10 business days.
